Cyclingnews.com reported today that the most successful Canadian cycling team ever will be forced to call it quits at the end of this season. This has been a team built on a strong ethical foundation (anti-doping) but hasn't used that as an excuse not to win. The team has been ranked near the top of the UCI America Tour for the past three years, won almost 200 races and many Canadian championships. The jewel in the crown was Svein Tuft's astonishing seventh place finish at the Olympics against the best riders in the world. It's pathetic and embarrassing that not a single Canadian company would step up to support a real winner. Maybe Canadian's really don't like winners after all.
